🚨 BREAKING: Leyton Orient Close In on Former Championship Winger After Impressive Trial Spell
Leyton Orient are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Callum Bennett, a 26-year-old free-agent winger, after the former Championship player impressed manager Richie Wellens during a recent trial.
Sources close to the club suggest Bennett has agreed personal terms on a two-year deal, with only the final paperwork and a medical remaining before the move is officially confirmed.
The pacey winger, who has previously featured in both the Championship and League One, became a free agent earlier this summer and attracted interest from several clubs. However, Orient’s ambition and the opportunity for regular first-team football are believed to have convinced him to choose Brisbane Road.
Wellens is understood to be eager to add more creativity and width to his squad as the club prepares for another competitive League One campaign. Bennett’s ability to play on either flank is seen as a major advantage.
