Leyton Orient Shock Move: The O’s Set to Sign Brazilian Free Agent Gabriel Veron
Leyton Orient are preparing a surprise raid on the free-agent market after opening talks with Brazilian attacking midfielder Gabriel Veron.
The 23-year-old, who previously shone at Palmeiras and had spells in Europe, is currently without a club and has emerged as a genuine target for the O’s.
Sources close to the deal indicate that Orient are confident of securing the player on a free transfer in the coming days. Veron is understood to be attracted by the project at Brisbane Road and the chance of regular first-team football.
Manager Richie Wellens is keen to add creativity and goal threat in the final third, and Veron’s pace, dribbling ability and eye for goal have made him a priority target.
